A new chapter is beginning in Azerbaijani football. The Professional Football League and Avrora Group’s Bizon brand have signed a sponsorship agreement. Under the agreement, the Azerbaijan Cup, one of the country’s most prestigious football tournaments, will now be known as the Bizon Azerbaijan Cup.
Having grown in recent years with state support, the tournament brings together 34 teams from across Azerbaijan and aims to further develop the national game. The agreement gives Bizon naming rights to the Azerbaijan Cup and reflects the brand’s support for sport, particularly the popularisation of football.
Avrora Group also contributes to sport through sponsorship of European Football Academy to support children’s football, Araz-Nakhchivan for futsal, Zira Football Club for professional football, and the National Aviation Academy women’s volleyball team.
