Aberlour is a single malt whisky brand produced in the Speyside region of Scotland. Founded by James Fleming in 1879, Aberlour combines traditional production methods with local ingredients and carefully selected oak casks.

The production uses barley sourced from local farms and water from the nearby Birkenbush Springs. In the Double Cask Matured range, the whisky is matured separately in American oak and sherry casks before being combined. American oak contributes vanilla and smooth flavour characteristics, while sherry casks add sweetness and rich fruit notes.

Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured is one of the brand’s main products. The range also includes the small-batch A’bunadh series. This series is distinguished by the rich influence of sherry casks and being bottled at natural cask strength (cask strength).
