Azerbaijan’s first SME cluster company, Frutena SME Cluster Company LLC, has been established. Part of Avrora Group, it will produce natural fruit concentrate in the Guba region for use in non-alcoholic beverages. The company has received an SME cluster certificate providing a range of benefits for the cluster company and its participants.
The factory, planned for a four-hectare site, is scheduled to begin operating in 2025. It is expected to produce 4,000 tonnes of apple concentrate annually, using an estimated 28,000–30,000 tonnes of apples. Investment of AZN 15 million is planned, with 30 permanent jobs to be created in the initial phase.
